Most indoor programs are 60 minutes. Factor 9 sessions are 90 minutes which allows more time to improve your fitness and do it safely. The extra time gives us ample time to warm-up, cool-down and even time to add in the ever-so-important core training and stretching. We gradually work up to a solid 90 minutes of riding. They are coached programs based in Penticton and are suitable for veteran athletes, beginners and up and coming youth athletes. The sessions are focused on improving cycling performance so that cyclists, as well as, triathletes can benefit.

10 Week Off-Season Training Program
October 11 to December 17
The goal is to build base fitness and work on sport specific strength. But, don't be fooled, these are challenging workouts. They improve your durability and raise your endurance and steady zone efficiency (seen by a drop in HR for a set amount of power in those zones). You also minimize your risk and severity of injury.
By improving your base fitness, you set yourself up to improve tremendously with hard intervals in the pre-season (January). And, ultimately improve your racing performance next year with race specific training during the in-season.
The fall is particularly important for beginners to start training with us since the relative stress of the training is lower this time of year. Thus, we can progress at a more gradual rate. Getting fit and fast requires clever training but also time. Don't wait for spring to whip yourself into shape.
We also do personal coaching online and for local Penticton triathletes. It is the same service, except if you are in Penticton, you have the option of joining any of our team workouts for no extra fee. There are not many coaching services that offer that high level of value.
These are the same workouts that have led many Factor 9 athletes to wins in their age group in big events like Ironman Canada and allowed them to qualify for the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. Perfect to challenge beginners, as well as, the most experienced athletes.

INDOOR CYCLING SCHEDULE AND FEES
You can join our workouts once per week, twice per week or join for the entire session which is three times per week. If you are looking for additional swim, run or other help from our coaches then we highly recommend our personal coaching service.
Tuesday (5:45pm - 7:15pm) - $134.40 for 10 weeks, tax included.
Thursday (5:45pm - 7:15pm) - $134.40 for 10 weeks, tax included.
Saturday (8:00am - 9:30am) - $134.40 for 10 weeks, tax included.
(note: two times per week would come to a total of 268.80, tax included).

TRAINING FACILITY
Sessions are upstairs in the Soccer Centre located at 555 Eckhardt Ave. West.
An elevator is available to help you with equipment.
This is a new and beautiful facility for indoor riding. It is filled with windows and has ample space for many riders.
Change rooms and restrooms are available.
Limited storage is available for indoor trainers (please contact Scott if you really want to leave your trainer there), otherwise, riders are required to bring their cycling equipment and trainer for each session.
*Please bring a mat or towel to place under your trainer and front wheel to save the floor.

HST is included in the amounts unless otherwise stated. There are typically no team workouts on holidays or holiday weekends (and major race weekends in the late spring and summer). Minimum of 10 people required to run any team program. If a program is canceled due to low numbers, you will be refunded for any remaining sessions. One month notice is required to cancel payments for monthly memberships such as personal coaching. If you are joining the team in the summer then you will be required to complete a one hour bike training safety session with one of our coaches before joining our team rides or prove that you have the equivalent knowledge and skills for riding safely in a group. This costs an additional $25 (note, this is a heavily discounted rate to encourage new riders to join our program yet improve their safety and ensure the safety of current team members).
